Glossary
Quick definitions for the terms you'll see across Tessryx.
Short definitions of the terms used throughout Tessryx and these docs.
Agent: the AI assistant you connect to build on your behalf. See Connect your agent.
App: a project's pieces grouped into one thing you manage together. See Apps.
Cache window: how long a page's result is reused before it's recomputed. Longer means faster and cheaper, but staler. See Credits and caching.
Content record: one item of data following a schema (a specific post, product, or setting). Edited as a form in Content Studio.
Credit: the unit of compute. One covers up to 10 seconds of an execution. See Credits and caching.
Custom domain: your own address (yourbrand.com) serving a site, instead of a
tessryx.app subdomain. See Custom domains.
Draft: a version you're working on, private until published. See Publishing.
Endpoint: a live public URL bound to a workflow. Serves both pages and the API routes a page calls.
Execution: running your logic once: a page render, an API route, a scheduled job, an editor test run, or agent work over MCP. Executions cost credits; cached views and authoring don't. See Credits and caching.
Integration: a configured connection to an outside service. See Integrations and secrets.
MCP: the open standard that lets an AI client connect to Tessryx.
Media: images and files your pages use, served from a fast content network.
Publish: the deliberate act that makes a version live. See Publishing.
Role: a member's permission level (Owner, Admin, Maintainer, Editor, Viewer). Governs the web app and access to team-only pages. See Team.
Schedule: a workflow that runs on a clock instead of on a visit.
Schema: the shape of a kind of data. Validates content and generates the form you edit it in. See The building blocks.
Secret: a stored credential (an API key, a token). You set the value; it's never readable back. See Integrations and secrets.
Studio: a section of the web app for editing one kind of thing (Content, Schema, Delivery, Workflow, API, Scheduler). See Content and editors.
Version: a frozen snapshot of a piece. Publishing promotes one; the previous keeps serving until you do. See Publishing.
Workflow: the logic that turns your content into a finished page or response. Mostly your agent's domain.
Workspace: one organization's collection of apps, content, and settings. You can belong to several. See Team.
