Media

Upload and manage the images and files your pages and data use.

Media is where the images and files your site uses live: logos, photos, downloads, the picture behind a blog post. Manage them in Dashboard → Media. Your agent can also upload or generate them for you; this is the same library, seen from your side.

Everything here serves from a fast content network, so assets load quickly everywhere and their bandwidth is never charged.

#Uploading

Click Upload, pick a file, and Tessryx fills in a slug (a short address for the file, taken from its name) and a display name you can edit. The slug is how pages and data refer to the file, so keep it stable: renaming it later means updating whatever points at it.

#Formats and file size

A single file can be up to 100 MB on every plan, and it also has to fit in your remaining storage. On the free plan those are the same number. Host larger videos elsewhere and embed them.

Images a browser can display (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, SVG) render inline on your pages. A format a browser can't show inline is stored as a download instead. The one that catches people out is iPhone photos in HEIC (the default iOS format): they upload fine but won't display on a page. Convert them to JPEG first: on iPhone, Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, or just share the photo, which converts it. TIFF behaves the same way.

#Folders

Media is organized into folders, so a site with hundreds of assets stays browsable. Upload happens into the folder you're currently viewing, and a folder is really just a prefix on the slug: there's nothing to create up front. Search looks across every folder at once.

#Using an asset

Each item has a public URL. Your agent wires assets into pages and data for you, and you can also drop one into a content record through an image field. The picker points at this same library. Click any item to preview it and copy its details.

Assets serve from a dedicated Tessryx media domain (a tessryxusermedia.com address). That URL stays on the media domain even when the page using it is on your own custom domain. That's normal, and the assets live on a separate domain on purpose, for safety.

#Deleting

Deleting an asset is immediate and permanent, and anything still pointing at its URL (a live page, a datafile) will stop resolving. Tessryx warns you before you confirm; if the file is in use, replace the reference first.

#Storage

Each plan includes a media allowance (100 MB on Free, more on paid plans). The full figures are in Plans and limits. Storing files never costs credits; only running your logic does.

Managing media is Editor-level work, so anyone on your team from Editor up can upload and delete; see Team for roles.
